About Refrigerant Cylinder Deposits and Collection

We have low cost cylinder deposits these currently are only £30 on the R134a and £50 on the R1234yf (HFO-1234yf) excluding vat.

These will be automatically added to your refrigerant orders and must be included. The cylinder deposits are refunded once the empty cylinders are returned back, these can be returned to back to GBG via our FREE Collection Service and also to any other distributor of Harp Refrigerant, National Refrigerants or Autonoe Refrigerant, you have 24 months from date of purchase to do this. All cylinders are uniquely identified with individual barcodes/serial numbers. All distributors of these premium AC Gas brands including ourselves participate in the national track & trace bar code scheme, for cylinder surcharges, enabling speedy return back to the supplier and quick customer cylinder refunds.

Our Free Collection Service

We offer a free collection service, at the end of season, we can confirm quantity along with serial numbers of cylinders due for return, and arrange a free pallet collection and credit fast upon return – typically within 5 working days of receiving these back to our distribution depot.

Collection Terms and Conditions:

• Min qualifying qty for Free Collection is 10 Cylinders
• Mixed Cylinders of YF and R134a are fine (minimum is 10 units total)
• Deposits are only returned on our cylinder brands we sell Harp, National and Autonoe, any other spurious brands will not be accepted.
• Please Pack cylinders onto one pallet where possible – max 40 cylinders
• Ensure cylinders are securely packed to pallet – banded or wrapped etc where possible
• Collection of quantities lower than 10 will be charged at flat-fee collection cost price of £75 exc VAT
• Missed collections that have to be re-arranged may be charged at flat-fee cost price of £75 exc VAT
• We reserve the right to arrange convenient collections to maximise efficiency – we typically collect end of season in Sept or Oct
• You may be asked to confirm cylinder barcode IDs prior to collection

To confirm we supplied your cylinders we need the barcode / cylinder ID number for each cylinder. These are stamped on the cylinder and shown beneath the barcode. In the example below the code is shown between “*” characters – i.e. E000372 . You can upload a list in word, Excel or photos on the form above.
